A sterling silver band around the bottom of the barrel bears a set of full hallmarks including The Queen's Diamond Jubilee mark only available during 2012. The cap is also marked with the number of each pen in the edition (00/75) and is also hallmarked for sterling silver (.925).
The Burlington pen from Onoto celebrates the world’s first shopping mall, Burlington Arcade, which was built in Piccadilly, London, under the orders of Lord George Cavendish. It was opened in 1819 and was policed by former members of Lord Cavendish’s regiment, the 10th Hussars. Known as ‘Beadles’ they have remained a constant presence to this day. Today, The Burlington Arcade is well known for its jewellers and antique silver dealers.
